Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty

Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty in Twickenham

Plasma treatment, also known as Plexr soft surgery or Plasma surgery, is a revolutionary invention in the field of non-surgical aesthetic blepharoplasty (eyelid or under eye tightening). delicate and specialised surgical treatments to be performed in a minimally invasive procedure.

Eyelid & Under Eye Tightening

Using advanced focused Plasma technology to tighten skin. Plasma surgical treatment is ideal to the looser skin on the eye lids and under eye area. Plasma works by triggering a contraction of the skin fibres to bring about a tightening, lifting and remodelling effect. Plasma treatment is perfect for delicate non-surgical eyelid tightening surgery (blepharoplasty) as well as other skin tightening treatments.

Plasma blepharoplasty treatment may be performed as a course of 3 sessions 2-3 months apart (or more if further improvement to severe laxity is needed).

At Thames Skin Clinic Dr Hemming has designed her bespoke plasma treatments to tighten skin, lift and smooth unwanted lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Thames Skin Clinic combines plasma treatments with the use of growth factor serums, proven to speed healing. This combination treatment works brilliantly on skin laxity and the delicate eye area and is frequently complimented.

Before and afters

Results may vary from person to person

Treatment works by forming plasma (the fourth state of matter) in the 1-2mm space between the tip of the device and the skin. Plasma forms a tiny arch which triggers a process called sublimation – where a solid turns straight into a gas – this in turn causes the fibres of the skin to shrink, contract and tighten. Tightening of the skin fibres contracts the surface area of the skin, creating an improvement in the appearance of drooping or sagging skin on the face, eyelids etc Due to the precise nature of Plasma, where heat is very accurately directed and doesn’t transfer to the surrounding tissues, Plasma is a safe and comfortable treatment.

Other skin tightening treatments include . However few treatments are suitable for the delicate skin of the eye lid.

Eyelid tightening blepharoplasty using plasma surgical treatment is suitable for most people. We discuss your medical history at your new patient consultation and would ask you to postpone treatment if you were pregnant or breastfeeding.

Plasma surgical skin tightening is considered a safe treatment as plasma causes immediate skin tightening through sublimation. There is no electric current or heat transferred.

Local anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment to minimise any discomfort with local anaesthetic injections in some areas. Treatment may feel warm in some places and you may experience a tingling sensation.

Side effects are minimal if any. Injection site tenderness and mild bruising as well as redness, dry skin and itching to the treatment area may occur. Dermal fillers should not be used if or breast feeding as we have no research to prove it is safe for your foetus or child.

Care must be taken if you are currently suffering with a skin infection or allergy or taking particular medication. Your specialist will be able to advise you further if you have recently had a skin peel or resurfacing procedure.

More serious can occur which is why all of our dermal filler treatments are performed by a medically qualified practitioner who is trained in complication management.

We recommend 7 days downtime after a plasma blepharoplasty.

After a plasma blepharoplasty treatment, the plasma leaves small dark marks on the skin where the plasma was focused. There will be rows of tiny dots on the skin which should be left as they form a sterile barrier and protect the underlying healing process. These marks become harder and will naturally heal and disappear over the 3-4 days. There may be some redness, swelling and bruising which will settle fully in 2 weeks.

At Thames Skin clinic we precede all of our treatments with a full consultation. Your treatment will be carried out by Dr Anna Hemming, a highly experienced aesthetic doctor. Your medical history will be taken followed by an examination of your skin . You can discuss whether Plasma treatment is suitable for you and address your expectations from treatment. When the treatment has been fully explained you will be required to sign a consent form and a photograph will be taken for your .

Following cleansing, local anaesthetic is applied to your skin. This takes 40 minutes to work and minimises any discomfort meaning the treatment will be virtually painless. You will have access to our patient lounge while the local anaesthetic takes effect.

Plasma treatment will then commence. The device is held 1-2mm over your skin and the plasma energy is in short bursts to the treatment area. This allows the skin to contract while triggering your body’s unique healing process. The treatment is not painful, some patients experience a warm or hot feeling in places and a afterwards. each treatment session lasts 30 minutes with up to 3 sessions recommended until you see optimum results.

Following treatment, an antiseptic cream or lotion will be applied, normally Clinicept+ along with a specialist serum containing growth factors to aid the healing of your skin.

Treatment aim is to tighten the skin on the upper or lower eye lid, or both the upper and lower lid.

Serious side effects are minimal, if any. Treatment site tenderness may occur. Your skin will have an immediate tightening effect and the plasma will show as little sterile dots on the skin. These heal as your skin tightens more.

It should not to be used if pregnant or breast feeding as we have no to prove it is safe for your foetus or child.

Care must be taken if diagnosed with neurological or bleeding disorders, currently suffering with a skin infection or allergy or taking particular medication. Your specialist will be able to advise you further.

Please discuss any current medication with the doctor, especially if you are taking aspirin on Ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.

Following plasma treatment tiny dark brown crusts may appear on your skin in the areas the plasma has been focused. These areas must be kept clean. The markings will usually start to heal and will naturally flake off within a few days. They should be fully healed within 2 weeks.

If you have any concerns following treatment with Plasma please contact Thames Skin Clinic immediately.

Your final results depend on your skin laxity in the treatment area, your desired results, the condition of your skin and healing capability, any pre-existing medical problems. Plasma treatment contracts skin immediately after . Due to the action of the plasma on the skin with sublimation, treatment results can last for years.

Plasma blepharoplasty treatments vary by the area of treatment given to achieve the best . They are priced as a course of 3. For your concern. We often get asked about the cost of treatment. At Thames Skin Clinic we pride ourselves on results rather than focus on the price of a treatment, it is more important that we get the correct quality of product rather than offer cut price treatments, products and services (especially when it comes to medical treatments). You will never see Thames Skin Clinic advertising on social coupon sites such as Groupon as we believe they have a negative impact on our customer safety, results and satisfaction. We also wish to abide by the advertising regulator and work in a safe ethical manor.

Our prices reflect the skill, training and premier product choices we have made as well as the true reflection of the beautiful bespoke clinic surroundings.

To discuss plasma surgical treatments and for a detailed consultation regarding the best options for you please call us today and book an consultation with our specialist practitioners. There is a charge for appointments with Dr Hemming.

For best results we strongly advise a 3 session course for non blepharoplasty

Further treatment may be needed for very loose skin.
